Mel is our veterinary technician, she has been providing patient care for over 25 years. As a veterinary technician, she performs anesthetic monitoring, laboratory work, assists in office visits and provides special nursing care to all of our hospitalized pets.
Mel shares her time away from the hospital with Tygo, her Labrador Retriever, Kikker the rat, and several special bird friends.
Evil is our clinic cat. He arrived many years ago as a poorly-managed diabetic. With strict diet management, he has come off of insulin and continues to do well. Evil is a purebred Maine Coon and is the poster boy for the importance remaining lean. He arrived at Fletcher's Creek Animal Hospital weighing in at over 22 pounds but now weighs a more healthy 14 pounds. He shows that not even the largest of breeds need to weigh a lot.
Oh, and the name Evil, he came with it. He is very sweet and loves everyone. A better name would have been Trouble as he is very mischievous and will steal anything he can find to eat.
